Maybole to Girvan

This section of the route is 12 miles in length and it starts from Maybole. It follows on pavement alongside the A77 as it heads south west towards Crossraguel Abbey. Further on it reaches the coast and picks up the Ayrshire Coastal Path as it heads south to Girvan.

Places of interest on this section are Crossraguel Abbey and Kirkoswald with its Old Kirk and Graveyard, Souter Johnnie's Cottage and the Kirkoswald Parish Church. On arrival in Girvan there is the Stumpy Tower.
