Girvan to Colmonell

Map 8 This section of the route is 13 miles in length and it starts from Girvan and passes by Woodland Bay, Kilranny Bridge and Lendalfoot before entering Colmonell. The route for the first two thirds is close to the coast and makes use of the Ayrshire Coastal Path before heading inland and tracking round the lower slopes of Knockormal Hill. The trail now passes between Balhamie Hill and Clauchanton Hill on its descent into the village of Colmonell.

Places of interest on this section are Girvan Stumpy Tower (Town Jail), and South Church Girvan.
